Speak Out on the Future of Continuing Certification

The Vision Initiative — a collaborative effort created by the American Board of Medical Specialties — is conducting an important survey and needs your input to re-envision the future of continuing board certification and physician assessment.

Please take the survey on or before the May 11 response deadline.

The better data the Vision Initiative gathers, the clearer the answers will be regarding how the board certification process should evolve to truly serve the needs of physicians and their patients.

Help construct the future of continuing board certification today. Take the survey.

Clínica Esperanza Is in Need of Volunteer Providers

Clínica Esperanza (Hope Clinic) is in need of volunteer providers!

Clínica Esperanza, a free volunteer-run clinic for the uninsured, is looking for physicians to volunteer to provide medical care. We welcome physicians of any specialty, but have a particular need for providers in primary care and psychiatry. We would ask volunteer providers to commit to volunteering one shift per month (4 hours/month), however this is flexible and there are many other ways to get involved, including at health fairs and other events. Beyond providing medical care, physicians will also have an opportunity to mentor and teach Brown medical students who volunteer at the clinic.

The clinic is located at 60 Valley Street in Providence.

Hours available:
Monday: 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Tuesday: 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Precept for medical students 5-8 p.m.)
Wednesday: 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Thursday: 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Particular need for Thursday’s 5-8 p.m.)
Friday: 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
